What is Common Humanity about?
We believe an individual’s actions, existence, and purpose are not isolated but are part of a larger whole—the core of what makes us a nation and a world. Our lives hold meaning beyond our immediate surroundings or self-interest. When we recognize this truth, we are United, and we are powerful.
In contrast, the American People have been sold a political agenda that, while promising to restore America to its gilded past, has mostly minimized and divided her People.
Our political leaders are telling us we are in ruin. We are told to be afraid of each other, to not trust our neighbors. We are told we need to step on each other to get ahead.
But that isn’t true. And that isn’t what America wants.
The voice of the People, your voice, needs to be heard.
We are creating a movement to Unite the People of this country around our Common Humanity.
We want to first LISTEN – to identify and elevate those values that matter to the People – and then GALVANIZE our communities to ensure government works for the People.
So, today we start by Listening.
The field is open: there are no dumb ideas, no right answers, no stupid questions, no judgement. By listening, we learn and we find that we are much closer together than we are being made to believe.
From this place of Common Humanity, we can unite and move our country forward.

Common Humanity Principles
We believe in the power of seeing each other as actual people with actual stories. People not numbers on a sheet or names on a list.
